The Critical Role of Pressure Transmitters in the Environmental Protection Industry
The key role of pressure transmitters in the environmental protection industry is to ensure the stable operation of pollution control and environmental management facilities. They are primarily used for real-time monitoring of pressure changes in pipelines and tanks during exhaust gas treatment and monitoring, wastewater treatment, and other processes. CEMS (Continuous Emission Monitoring System) is employed for real-time monitoring of exhaust emissions from pollution sources such as boilers, power plants, waste incineration facilities, oil refineries, and glass furnaces. It monitors parameters such as oxygen, nitrogen oxides, sulfur dioxide, temperature, pressure, and flow velocity.

Functions of Differential Pressure Transmitters in CEMS Flue Gas Monitoring
The differential pressure transmitter in CEMS (Continuous Emission Monitoring System) is a critical device for flue gas flow monitoring. By measuring the pressure difference on both sides of a Pitot tube or orifice plate in the flue, it calculates the flue gas flow velocity using Bernoulli's equation, thereby determining the total pollutant emissions. In high-emission industries such as thermal power plants and steel mills, differential pressure transmitters must withstand high temperatures, high dust (e.g., sintering flue gas), and corrosive gases (SO₂, HCl, etc.). To address these challenges, the equipment typically adopts Hastelloy diaphragms, ceramic diaphragm isolation technology, and integrates a blowback device to prevent pressure port clogging. Additionally, it supports micro-differential pressure measurement (e.g., 0~500Pa range) to meet environmental compliance requirements. Based on the needs of a CEMS flue gas monitoring customer in Zhejiang, LEEG Instrument provided an industry solution with a range of 0-250Pa. LEEG's differential pressure transmitters can achieve a minimum range of 100 Pa (with certain precision), fully meeting the measurement requirements of the CEMS industry.
