Application BackgroundApplication Background
The customer is a highly influential comprehensive equipment manufacturing enterprise in China. The company has established a strong presence across multiple sectors, including cryogenic refrigeration, central air conditioning, environmental heating solutions, energy and chemical equipment, and hydrogen energy equipment. Through continuous technological innovation and a well-developed industrial layout, it has grown into a modern international enterprise integrating R&D, manufacturing, and service.
Over the years, we have maintained a long-term and stable partnership with the customer, providing highly reliable pressure measurement solutions for a variety of its core equipment projects.
Pressure Transmitter Application for BOG Compressor Suction Pressure Monitoring
During the transportation and storage of LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas), heat ingress from the surrounding environment causes part of the LNG to evaporate, generating Boil-Off Gas (BOG). To recover energy and maintain tank pressure balance, BOG is typically compressed and delivered to a reliquefaction system or fuel gas supply system. As a critical component of the BOG handling process, the stability of the compressor suction pressure directly affects system efficiency and operational safety.

However, the volume of BOG generated continuously changes with ambient temperature, tank operating conditions, and vessel operating status, resulting in fluctuations in compressor inlet pressure. Excessively low pressure may lead to compressor surge or insufficient gas supply, while excessively high pressure can increase equipment load and affect system stability. In addition, natural gas media place higher demands on instrument sealing performance, long-term stability, and operational reliability.
To address these challenges, our pressure transmitter is installed at the BOG compressor suction line to continuously monitor inlet pressure and transmit real-time data to the control system. The measured values provide reliable support for compressor start-stop control, flow regulation, and safety interlock functions. Featuring excellent long-term stability, vibration resistance, and high measurement accuracy, the transmitter delivers reliable performance under demanding operating conditions, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the BOG system.
Differential Pressure Transmitter Application for Oil Separator Monitoring in Compressor Units
In screw compressors, refrigeration compressors, process gas compressors, and natural gas compressors, lubricating oil plays a vital role not only in lubrication but also in sealing, cooling, and power transmission. Since compressed gas typically carries a certain amount of oil, an oil separator is required to separate the oil from the gas and recover the lubricant for reuse.

As the equipment operates over time, contaminants gradually accumulate within the separator element, causing blockage and an increase in differential pressure across the separator. If not detected in time, this can reduce oil separation efficiency, increase lubricant consumption and energy costs, and potentially compromise compressor reliability and safety.
To enable continuous condition monitoring, our differential pressure transmitter is installed across the inlet and outlet of the oil separator to measure pressure drop in real time. When the differential pressure reaches a predefined alarm threshold, maintenance personnel can be alerted to inspect or replace the separator element before serious issues occur. With high-accuracy low differential pressure measurement, excellent anti-interference capability, and long-term stability, the transmitter provides reliable data for compressor lubrication system management, helping customers implement predictive maintenance strategies, reduce operating costs, and improve equipment efficiency.
Application Summary
In addition to BOG compressors and ORC screw expander units, our pressure transmitters and differential pressure transmitters are widely used in screw compressors, centrifugal compressors, reciprocating compressors, refrigeration compressors, natural gas compressors, hydrogen compressors, air compressors, and various process gas compression systems.
Within compressor systems, pressure transmitters are commonly used to monitor critical parameters such as suction pressure, discharge pressure, interstage pressure, lubricating oil pressure, and receiver tank pressure. Differential pressure transmitters are widely applied in monitoring pressure drops across oil separators, oil filters, air filters, heat exchangers, and other key process equipment, providing valuable data for equipment condition assessment and predictive maintenance.
With high measurement accuracy, outstanding long-term stability, superior vibration resistance, and robust performance in demanding industrial environments, our solutions help customers continuously monitor equipment conditions, quickly identify potential issues such as blockages, leaks, and abnormal pressure losses, and improve the efficiency, safety, and reliability of compressor systems. As a result, maintenance costs can be reduced while operational performance is enhanced across industries including industrial gases, energy, power generation, petrochemicals, refrigeration, and marine applications.
